Three British suspects, aged 28, 29 and 34, have been arrested in Benidorm after a package containing three kilos of the designer drug mephedrone was intercepted at Valencia Airport.
The Alicante National Police said in a press release on Monday that the package was sent from India to a post box at a courier company in Benidorm.
The delivery was allowed was allowed to go ahead, and the first two suspects were arrested when they arrived to collect the parcel of drugs.
The third, who was the addressee on the package, was arrested at his home in Benidorm. EFE reports that he was using false identity papers as he was wanted for another crime against public health.
