Three French youths arrested for fatal stabbing of Briton in Lloret de Mar

French police have arrested three suspects in connection with the stabbing to death of a 15 year old British youngster in Lloret de Mar, Girona on July 17. The 15 year old Briton lived in the town, and was not a tourist.

Investigations by the Catalan regional police, Los MOssos d’Esquadra link the three to the death of the young Briton. They are all 21 and have been named as Remi Romai, Jereme P. and Ludwig Ale G.

Following this year’s clashes between drunk youngsters and the police in the town, the Town Hall has declared war on ‘drunken tourism’, and have since closed the bar outside which the fatal stabbing occurred. They note most of the problem comes from French and Italian tourists. Regional police are to more tightly control bar opening hours to try and avoid any more tragedies.
