Half a ton of cannabis found stored in a country property in Coín

The Civil Guard released news this Wednesday that officers have recovered more than half a ton of cannabis from a countryside property in Coín which was used as a warehouse to store the drugs.

The house was under suspicion of being used by drug dealers and was under Civil Guard surveillance on May 11 when three people were seen driving away from the property. Officers moved to intercept, and saw them drop three blocks of cannabis onto the road as they attempted to escape.

The suspects were arrested shortly afterwards and 520 kilos of cannabis resin were recovered in a court-ordered search of the property. La Opinión de Málaga reports that officers also seized two GPS devices, a satellite telephone and supplies used to package the drugs for distribution.
