Police detained Zahar Kalashov in Marbella, five days after another court convicted him of money laundering and sentenced him to seven and a half years in jail.
Kalashov was not locked up as he qualified for parole because of the time he had spent in detention awaiting trial. However, he was re-arrested in response to an extradition request from Georgia where he is wanted for kidnapping."
